Position Title: Database Administrator (Intermediate) - SQL Server/PostgreSQL

Join our team as a Database Administrator supporting mission-critical Department of Defense (DoD) information systems in Suffolk, VA. This onsite role offers a unique opportunity to work on enterprise-level Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments, ensuring security, performance, and availability for vital government applications. You will administer, maintain, and optimize databases, support cybersecurity compliance, and contribute to system modernization initiatives in a fast-paced, innovative environment supporting federal agencies. Top Requirements Active Secret security clearance Certifications such as CySA+, Security+, CCNA – Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP (IAT Level II)5+ years of enterprise database administration experience Expertise with Microsoft SQL Server: installation, clustering, backup/recovery, performance tuning Skilled in PostgreSQL administration: high availability, replication, performance tuning Strong understanding of database security, disaster recovery, access controls, and compliance (DISA STIGs, RMF) Proven ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and support high-availability mission-critical systems Excellent collaboration skills with system administrators, cybersecurity teams, and developers Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience About Seneca Resources At Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm — we are a trusted career partner.
