They are known by their clients for their ability to provide single-source design/build solutions for all construction needs. A Family owned and operated, solid mid-sized company, with around 40 people total in their construction group.They do around $200M a year and grow based on projects they can handleThey have been a tightly held company for over a century with a great reputation. A majority of customers are repeat.Known for their good work environment, flexible, good people. Never laid anyone off in covid, in fact 2020 and 2021 were some of their greatest years on record. Our point of contact started as an Assistant Project Manager and throughout the course of 8 years he has worked his way up to PM, SPM and now his title of Director of Field Ops. During his time they have never laid off anyone.Markets include Medical, Office, Retail, Institutional, Distribution, and ManufacturingNot a 90 hour a week company, everyone works their 40 hoursJob DescriptionAssist in bidding and estimating new projects, including preparing estimate templates, selecting subcontractors to bid, reviewing bids, and drafting client proposals.Establish and maintain the initial project schedule and coordinate critical durations with subcontractors.Coordinate design efforts by contracting architectural/engineering services, leading design meetings, and reviewing drawings for compliance and efficiency.Acquire all necessary permits (site, grading, building, utilities) and oversee subcontractor permit acquisition.Prepare, negotiate, and issue scopes of work and subcontracts with subcontractors.Oversee project close-out procedures, including final invoicing, retainage release, certificate of substantial completion, record drawings, and delivery of the facility manual.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantBachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering, Architecture or Construction ManagementMinimum 5 years of experience in Construction, experience managing multiple projects at a timeGround Up Experience is a plusExperience in self perform (demolition, carpentry, etc)Working knowledge of skilled trades including carpentry, masonry, concrete work, site excavation and grading, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical.Working knowledge of commercial construction technology and details.
