Information System Security Technician

Develops, implements and maintains security standards, policies and procedures. Manages security user system, data entitlements, authorizations, access rights, account creation, and modifications across multiple platforms and applications. Designs and directs security audits and penetration tests to discover system vulnerabilities, documents results, and provides recommendations to minimize risks. Working knowledge of PC and Networking support at the System Administrator level. Conduct Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans; Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG); system topology design; analysis and implementation of security controls according to assessment guidance, procedures, and templates; uniform implementation of RMF based assessment process Provide system administration and information assurance support Maintain hardware and software security control management for continued compliance of security and protection Assist in upgrading and configuring system hardware/software per project or operational needs as required. Assist with development of Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages for stand-alone and mission system. Provide artifacts for certification and accreditation packages and provide recommendations for improvements to support successful conduct of security categorization, control assessments, final risk analysis.
