Director of Accounting / ControllerDallas, TX | Full-Time | $110,000 – $140,000 + BonusA growing real estate and hospitality organization in Dallas is seeking an experienced Controller / Director of Accounting to lead financial operations across a diverse portfolio. This leadership role will oversee accounting for multifamily residential, hospitality operations, and food & beverage concepts while building scalable financial processes to support continued growth.This is a hands-on and strategic leadership opportunity for a strong accounting professional who thrives in multi-entity environments and enjoys partnering with operations to drive financial performance.Have you got what it takes to succeed The following information should be read carefully by all candidates.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial CloseLead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entitiesPrepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statementsOversee general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and accrualsMaintain strong internal controls and accounting policiesReal Estate & Lease AccountingManage lease accounting for residential, retail, and office propertiesOversee rent roll reconciliation, revenue recognition, and tenant billingsSupport CAM reconciliations and lease reportingCollaborate closely with property and asset management teamsEnsure proper integration between property management systems and the general ledgerHospitality & Food & Beverage AccountingOversee accounting for hotel and hospitality operationsMonitor room revenue reporting, ADR/RevPAR metrics, and OTA reconciliationsManage restaurant and bar accounting, including inventory and cost of goods soldSupport margin and operational performance analysisAudit, Compliance & ReportingServe as the primary contact for external auditsCoordinate with tax advisors on filings and complianceEnsure accurate reporting for lenders, investors, and ownership groupsLeadership & Process ImprovementBuild and mentor an accounting teamIdentify and implement process improvements and automationPartner with FP&A, operations, and executive leadershipQualifications10–12+ years of progressive accounting experienceCPA preferredStrong knowledge of GAAP xevrcycExperience with multi-entity accounting environmentsPrior experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Senior Accounting ManagerExperience with property management systems (Entrata, Yardi, or similar) preferredMultifamily real estate accounting experience strongly preferredLease accounting experience strongly preferredHospitality or hotel accounting experience is a plusExperience with POS integrations (Toast or similar) is a plusCompensation & BenefitsBase Salary: $110,000 – $140,000Performance-based bonus potentialComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and retirement planOpportunity to join a growing organization with a dynamic real estate and hospitality portfolio
