Job Position Application DeveloperJob Location Hartford CTLocal to CT can be submittedJob Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior .NET & Power Platform Developer to lead the conversion of legacy .NET applications into the Microsoft Power Platform, while providing ongoing support for existing systems. The ideal candidate will possess certifications in both Microsoft .NET and Microsoft Power Platform development, and will have proven experience in application development, legacy system conversion, API integration, and data model design. Strong proficiency in SDLC methodologies and best practices is essential to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality solutions.Key Responsibilities:Microsoft .NET Development: Develop, deploy, and maintain applications using the Microsoft .NET framework. Ensure code quality and follow best practices for software development.Power Platform Development: Build custom business solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents. Leverage low-code/no-code capabilities to enhance workflows and optimize business processes.Legacy System Conversion: Lead the conversion of legacy .NET applications to the Microsoft Power Platform. Ensure seamless integration with Power Apps, Power Pages, and portals while maintaining application functionality.Legacy Application Support: Provide ongoing maintenance, updates, and technical support for existing .NET legacy applications. Troubleshoot issues to ensure the smooth operation of critical systems.API Integration: Develop secure and scalable API integration solutions, facilitating efficient data exchange between internal and external systems.Data Model Design: Collaborate with DBAs to design optimized data models and ensure data integrity across legacy systems and new Power Platform applications.SDLC Management: Oversee the software development life cycle for both waterfall and agile methodologies. Ensure timely project delivery and adherence to quality standards.Development Standards: Follow established development practices, proactively identifying and implementing process improvements to boost development efficiency.Technical Expertise:Proficiency in Microsoft .NET (VB.NET) and Java/J2EE.Extensive experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Pages, Portals).Expertise in API development and integration.Hands-on experience with SQL queries and database management.Experience in setting up IDEs and writing unit and feature tests.Knowledge of best practices in systems deployment, operations, and disaster recovery.Qualifications:Microsoft .NET Certification.Power Platform Development Certification.Experience in legacy system conversion and support.Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies, including waterfall and agile.Experience with operating systems, databases, application servers, and network protocols is a plus.Relevant technical certifications or additional training are highly desirable.Communication & Leadership:Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to manage tasks independently and proactively.Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
