Get Started: STEP ONE: Request info by submitting this form STEP TWO: Complete the Sysco Workday application (provided upon completion of STEP ONE and takes 10-15 min) STEP THREE: Connect with a Sysco talent specialist to discuss the available role (we'll contact you at the number provided) Benefits: Earn up to $30 per hour* 1st shift available $600 annual tool & boot allowance Outstanding benefits Excellent full-time career with a stable and growing company (*Based on experience and certifications) Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To: Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on ammonia refrigeration systems (50 HP to 3,000 HP), including compressors, condensers, fans, belts, filters, and leak detection Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical refrigeration components, including screw and reciprocating compressors, control/alarm systems, and PLC-based control systems Maintain proper oil levels, perform oil analysis, and manage water treatment chemical levels as part of scheduled maintenance Monitor, diagnose, and maintain HVAC and electrical systems, including repairs, inspections, and minor electrical work Ensure temperature control for product integrity and manage glycol underfloor warming systems Record maintenance activities and parts usage using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) Interpret schematics, manuals, and system specifications to support troubleshooting and repairs Conduct and document required system inspections, including those related to food safety, ePSM, and PSM compliance Maintain housekeeping and organization in mechanical and maintenance areas Respond to emergency situations to ensure employee and facility safety Champion workplace safety and adhere to OSHA and company safety policies, including the use of PPE Participate in the departmental on-call program and support facility maintenance tasks as needed Maintain tools, equipment, and a parts inventory to ensure readiness and efficiency Collaborate with leadership and peers to support operational goals and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications: Preferred Education High school diploma or GED HVAC/R tech school preferred Preferred Experience Four years of industrial HVAC/R experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Preferred experience with anhydrous ammonia (R717) Preferred Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations Must possess a valid state Driver's License and provide proof of liability coverage meeting Company standards. Complete a Sysco-approved defensive driving program HAZWOPER 24-hour training required Incident Command System trained Respirator fit test & physical (Annually) Obtain a Powered Industrial Equipment Certification from Sysco within 3 months Universal EPA certification RETA Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator (CIRO) certification Obtain RETA Certified Refrigeration Energy Specialist (CRES) certification within 6 months of employment Want a Career with Sysco?
