REQUIREMENTS
- 18+ years old
- Work in a fast paced/high volume environment
- Attention to detail & commitment to quality
- Availability to work weekend overtime as needed
PREFERENCES
- Basic tool knowledge
- Six months experience with carpentry/construction
JOB DUTIES
- Inspecting pallets visually for defects including, but not limited to, broken boards and blocks, missing components, nail defects, debris and contamination. Correcting defects that do not meet specification criteria
- Removing damaged boards with pry bar/hammer
- Using reciprocating saw and grinder to cut or remove old and bent nails
- Attaching appropriate boards according to company specs using a pneumatic nail gun and hammer
- Performing simple math skills by adding or subtracting number of pallets repaired
- Restocking building supplies at the end of shift
- Cleaning pallet repair area during and at end of shift
- Performing other duties as required.
HOURS
- Mon-Fri- 4pm-2:30am
PAY
- $18.75/hr plus performance incentives
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying and flipping of 75-to-85-pound pallets
