Forklift Operator/Material Handler

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Forklift Operator/Material Handler to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks, to efficiently load, unload, and organize inventory. Your expertise in warehouse operations and safety protocols will ensure smooth distribution processes and accurate inventory management. Duties Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload shipments Conduct thorough inspections of equipment before and after use, performing basic mechanical repairs when necessary Handle materials manually when required, ensuring proper manual handling techniques to prevent injury Use barcode scanning technology for accurate logistics tracking and inventory updates within warehouse management systems Assist with order picking using specialized equipment such as order pickers and pickers to fulfill customer orders efficiently Maintain organized storage areas by stacking pallets correctly and ensuring proper placement of goods in accordance with safety standards in production Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and preparing outgoing deliveries Qualifications Proven experience operating warehouse material handling equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing Familiarity with warehouse safety standards including OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during materials handling tasks Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately Mechanical aptitude for minor equipment repairs and troubleshooting issues with heavy equipment Strong understanding of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, inventory management, and distribution processes Prior experience in warehouse supervision or managing warehouse distribution is a plus but not required Join our team today to be part of a vibrant environment where safety is prioritized, efficiency is celebrated, and your contributions make a real impact!
