Mill Operator-2nd shift-(Mon-Thurs-2p-12a)
The Mill Operator performs saw operations to cut raw materials and manufactures quality parts per customer's specifications. They also perform quality control duties in regards to checking finished parts to ensure they are within tolerances and meet the customer's needs. Duties include, but are not limited to:Follow all start-up and shut down procedures at beginning and end of shift.Process all orders using order tracking software and according to department flow needsFollow appropriate set-up check procedures, spot checks and material for all ordersAll orders scanned out of order tracking software when complete and moved to the next appropriate workstationAttend meetings when necessaryProvide daily feedback and improvement suggestionsPossess working knowledge of cutting, milling, drilling, tapping, finishing and de-burring machinesPerform quality control duties with a high degree of accuracy for customer satisfactionAdjust chemical balances, rack and unrack, chamfer, and assemble partsRead and follow blueprintsRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED.Able to read blue prints along with experience using tape measures, calipers and micrometers.Strong math skills.Understand the department's priorities while expanding their understanding of the 80/20 product catalog.Can read, write, and speak English.Excellent attention to detail.Embodies the 80/20 attitude in all aspects of their job.Able to stand, twist, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, climb ladders and stairs, and lift 40 lbs. on a continuous basis for an 10-hour work day.Preferred Qualifications:Experience using computer with basic software applications1 or more years of experience with cutting, milling, drilling, tapping, finishing, and de-burring machinesEqual Opportunity Employer
