Position Type: Evaluation Hire (Temp-to-Perm)Position OverviewExpress Employment Professionals is seeking experienced Welder/Fitters with structural steel fabrication experience. Candidates must be able to read blueprints, fabricate components, and weld structural assemblies to specification.Applicants must supply their own welding gear and be prepared to complete a welding and blueprint test during the hiring process.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawingsFabricate and assemble structural steel componentsWeld structural frames and assemblies to specificationOperate burn tables and fabrication equipmentPerform saw cuts, drill holes, and beam preparationMeasure, fit, and align components accuratelyMaintain quality standards and production timelinesFollow shop safety procedures and maintain clean work areasRequired Skills & ExperienceStructural steel fabrication and welding experienceAbility to read and work from blueprintsExperience building frames, studs, and structural assembliesBurn table operation experienceBeam cutting, drilling, and layout experienceStrong measuring and fitting skillsAbility to pass welding and blueprint testMust provide own welding gearPreferred ExperienceExperience in structural steel or industrial fabricationFamiliarity with shop equipment and fabrication toolsStrong attention to detail and workmanship qualityPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and maneuver steel componentsStanding, bending, and working in a fabrication environmentComfortable working in a non-climate-controlled shopWhy Apply Through Express Employment Professionals?Weekly payBenefits availableEvaluation-to-hire opportunityLocal support teamCareer advancement opportunities??
