SMALL TOOLS MECHANIC

Brief DescriptionGeneral Description: Perform general maintenance and repairs to a wide range of small equipment. Work closely with equipment manager, mechanics, and dispatcher.Essential Duties Maintain all tow behinds, air compressors, light towers, arrow boards, message boards, and oil pots. Repair and store small tools, i. e.: jack hammers, jumping jacks, vibra plates, and cut off saws. Assist the loading and unloading of tools and supplies. Pick up and deliver parts for mechanics and supervisors as needed. Inventory Small Tools (including compressors and arrow boards) Log repairs needs in binder, and complete repairs or schedule for repair. Keep yard organized and Small Tools stored when not in use.Change pick-up and trailer tires as needed. Cut up steel or metal for scrap.Ability to work in a team environment.The above list is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the incumbent(s) of this job. Ability to drive a manual transmission truck and Forklift. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to haul small trailers (compressors and flatbed trailers).
