Java Developer With Spring Boot And BankingWe're prioritizing local candidates! We are seeking a highly skilled Backend or Full stack Java Developer to design, develop, and support scalable, high-performance microservices in a financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building Spring Boot–based backend systems supporting banking, trading, risk, or capital markets platforms, with a solid understanding of low-latency, secure, and resilient enterprise applications.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot microservices architectureBuild RESTful APIs and event-driven services supporting financial, banking, or capital markets systemsDevelop scalable and fault-tolerant microservices with high availability and performance requirementsIntegrate backend services with databases, messaging systems, and external financial platformsApply secure coding practices and follow enterprise security and compliance standardsCollaborate with architects, business analysts, and front-end teams to translate business requirements into technical solutionsParticipate in code reviews, performance tuning, and production supportImplement logging, monitoring, and alerting to support operational stabilitySupport CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes for automated builds, testing, and deploymentsTroubleshoot and resolve complex production issues in time-sensitive financial environmentsRequired Skills & QualificationsStrong proficiency in Java (8 or higher)Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring SecurityHands-on experience developing microservices architecturesExperience building REST APIs and working with JSON/XMLSolid understanding of SQL and relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL)Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS)Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle)Experience working in banking, financial services, or capital markets environmentsStrong understanding of performance, scalability, and security considerationsPreferred QualificationsExperience with cloud platforms (AWS)Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)Familiarity with capital markets systems (trading, risk, pricing, settlements, market data)Experience with low-latency or high-throughput systemsExposure to DevSecOps and secure SDLC practicesUnderstanding of regulatory or compliance requirements (SOX, PCI, SOC, etc.)
