Hybrid Pharmacist - 4 Days Retail/1 Day Remote (TN)

JobSummary* This role will be based out ofour various retail locations throughout Tennessee along with oneday per week working from home supportingcentralizedservices*Responsible for ensuringthe proper compounding, dispensation, review, and verification ofprescribed medications within regulatory guidelines, companypolicies and procedures. Works effectively in a hybrid workenvironment (such as Pharmacy store, Call Center,Micro-Fulfillment, and/or remote) and provides pharmacy consultingservices with empathy to patients regarding the effective usage ofmedications and awareness of drug interactions leveragingomni-channel services (e.g., in person consultation and via thephone). Offers preventiveand clinical healthcare services, including immunizations,diagnostic testing, and patient outcomes services. Supports theefficient workflow of the pharmacy and assists the pharmacymanagement in identifying ways to optimize pharmacy financials,inventory management and enhance the patientexperience.JobResponsibilitiesPerforms pharmacist tasks,including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, andmedication management.Reviews, interprets and dispenses prescribedmedications.Enhances patient experienceby focusing on healthcare services (e.g., patient consultation,medication management, drug therapy reviews) and retail, clinical,or wellness services such as immunizations, disease statemanagement and specialty programs. Listens to patients concerns andissues, acts as a sounding board for pharmacy concerns and providesfeedback to operations leaders. Resolves customer queries andissues in a timely manner to ensure a positive customerexperience.Conducts centralizedsupport, including patient registration, exception resolution, andassists with resolving patient issues. Performs in-person orvirtual product/prescription reviews, withinguidelines.Provides expertise,resources, education and support to broader team. Supports stafftraining and development opportunities. Promotes teamwork andmotivates staff by fostering a sharedvision;Supports company policies,procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics andintegrity.Partners with leadershipteam in analyzing performance (KPIs), financial and customerservice data; Implements procedures for pharmacy asset protectionand inventorymanagement.Ensures the pharmacyadheres to regulations, company policies and standards.Collaborates with leaders to establish workflow procedures (e.g.,assigning roles, coordinating activities and soliciting employeesuggestions). Oversees pharmacy opening, closing and shiftchange.Maintains and developsrelationships with medical providers and other healthprofessionals.Ensures pharmacy stafffollows up with medical providers' to clarify prescriptions,dosages, refills, interactions and allergies, to suggestalternative medications and answerquestions.Maintains current knowledgeof pharmacy systems technology (e.g., workflows, prescriptionfulfillment, billing,clinical documentation, training, inventory management, and POSregisters).Processes insurance claims.Liaises with insurance companies, medical providers andauditors.Develops and maintainsrelationships with the local medical community, includingphysicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers. Participates incommunity outreach activities to promote the pharmacy business andenhance growth opportunities. Participates in community events thatreflect the unique communities we serve as requested by leadershipteam.Drives compliance andcontinuous improvement in the delivery of clinical pharmacy patientcare and services by studying, evaluating, and re-designingprocesses; monitoring and analyzing results; and implementingchanges. Adheres to regulatory compliance and standard operatingprocedures.Maintains awareness ofthird-party pharmacy business opportunities and assures properadministration andimplementation of pharmacy systems andprocedures.Seeks professionaldevelopment and solicits feedback. Maintains current knowledge andrequired licensing/credentialing/certification as established byfederal and state regulations.
