Logistics Specialist - Auto Repair Parts

Position Overview RMGS, Inc. is currently recruiting a Logistics Specialist (Auto Repair Parts) in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This position is contingent upon contract award.Roles and Responsibilities Research repair parts, service procedures, and tool requirements Obtain parts and service quotes from commercial vendors for repairing automotive, construction, and heavy truck equipment Use manufacturer parts and service manuals, electronic databases, and direct communications with dealers toidentifyand price parts and services Perform limited aspects of supply chain management (e.g., inventory management, storage management, and propertyutilization) related to and in conjunction with maintenance, repair, and local supply activitiesMaintain storeroom with readilyavailable parts and common service itemsRecognize high and low inventory limits and manage in-stock numbers Make recommendations on ready access partsandstorage numbers based on rate of usage, acquisition timeline,or demandConductlogisticssupport associated with equipment maintenance,including shop cleanlinessReview mechanicinformation and research sources for repair partsConduct market research for parts via direct vendor contact, repair parts manuals, and internet-based information sourcesDocument and present market research findings Required Qualifications and ExperienceU.S. citizenValid U.S. driver's licensePossess Secret security clearanceFamiliarity with various manufacturer repair parts manuals, websites, and parts listingsFouryears'experience as a mechanic or repair parts clerk at a commercial or Government automotive shop featuring multiple vehicle models to include construction, heavy truck, and automotive equipmentPassed either the ASE P1 (heavy truck) or P2 (Automotive) exam OR have been employed by a commercial automotive dealer or military maintenance facility where ordering repair parts for automotive and heavy equipment was the primary responsibilityCompany OverviewRMGS, Inc. is a growing small business headquartered in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
