The successful candidate will be tasked with leading the university's transformation and reinvigoration to strengthen its teaching, research, and service missions. This pivotal role involves reimagining the academic enterprise to meet the dynamic needs and interests of current and future students. The Provost will serve as a vital member of the president's executive cabinet, partnering with faculty, staff, and other leaders to advance and sustain the academic community through cutting-edge research, practice, and community engagement.As the chief academic officer, the Provost will have ultimate responsibility for all academic programs, operations, and initiatives, and will manage a significant portion of the academic budget. This includes oversight of faculty promotion and tenure, as well as the administrative structures of colleges, centers, and regional campuses. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a history of fostering collaboration and will be expected to work closely with senior leaders in finance, business services, research, innovation, student life, and enrollment management to enhance the university's academic and research profile nationally.
