Communications Coordinator/Administrative Assistant
The Communications Coordinator & Administrative Assistant provides essential support to the parish office through administrative, secretarial, and communication efforts. This role ensures smooth daily operations while promoting clear, consistent, and engaging communication across the parish community. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, welcoming, and mission-driven, with a heart for service and strong communication skills.Key Responsibilities:Communications Coordinatio ● Develop, edit, and distribute parish communications (bulletin, emails, Flocknote, website updates, social medi) ● Ensure messaging is clear, consistent, timely, and aligned with parish mission and vison ● Create promotional materials for events (flyers, announcements, graphics using tools like Cava) ● Manage parish website and social media accunts ● Coordinate communication timelines for ministries, events, and liturgical sasons ● Coordinate with printer for bulletin and mailings to ensure publication deadlines re met ● Publish the digital version of the bulletin on the church websit weekly ● Maintain a digital archive of past bulletins for reference and historicalpurposes Administrative & Secretaral Duties ● Serve as a welcoming presence for parishioners, visitors, nd callers ● Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and direct communications apropriately ● Prepare, format, and distribute correspondence, reports, and parsh documents ● Use the Ministry Platform to retrieve, update, and manage paishioner data ● Maintain and organize documents necessary for the accurate recording of sacrmental records ● Assist with data entry, filing, and general offce organization ● Support clergy and staff with administrative needs andspecial projectsQualifications: ● Strong organizational and ultitasking skills ● Excellent written and verbal comunication abilities ● Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Office software; Adobe Acrobat, Adobe InDesign, GUI web design software (eCatholic a plus); familiarity with Canva and social media/ communicatio platforms preferred ● Ability to maintain confidentialiy and professionalism ● Friendly, welcoming demeanor with strog interpersonal skills ● Attention to detail and aility to meet deadlines ● Practicing Catholic or strong understanding of Catho
