Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whānau-centred care, and excellence.About The RoleAre you a registered mental health clinician (e.g. Social Work, Occupational Therapist, Clinical Psychologist or Registered Nurse) interested in working with children and adolescents experiencing mental health challenges.We are looking for a self-motivated clinician to join our multi-disciplinary team to work across both child and adolescent age groups.This is a community based position, and includes care management, provision of therapeutic interventions. You will work in innovative ways to support the recovery of tamariki and rangatahi and provide whanau interventions when indicated.You will be able to provide comprehensive mental health assessments, work collaboratively with young people and their Whanau to develop meaningful and effective treatment plans and deliver effective evidence based treatment for young people.This is a permanent full time position, working 80 hours per fornight (1.0 FTE) Monday to Friday.About The TeamTe Ratonga Aranga Mokupuna Arangi Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (TE R.A.M.A. CAMHS), Wairarapa service in the Wairarapa is a progressive team, situated in an area that covers large rural and urban populations. Our multi-disciplinary team consists of Community Psychiatric Nurses, Clinical Psychologist Social Workers, Community Support Workers, Administrators and Child and Adolescent Consultant Psychiatrists, Kaituriki Cultural Support Worker.We place a strong value on the team culture and ongoing professional development is encouraged and supported. Our service is well supported by the Paediatrics team at Wairarapa Hospital and we work closely with other services such as the Child Development Team, Special Education Services and Oranga Tamariki.Ratonga Rua-o- Porirua is our forensic, rehabilitation and intellectual disability inpatient unit. valuing peoples experience and ideas, caring and connecting together, integrity and respect across all disciplines.About YouYou will have Registration with the relevant professional registration body (e.g., Nursing Council of New Zealand as a Registered Nurse, Registered Social Worker, Registered Clinical Psychologist, Registered Occupational Therapist and DAPAANZ), and always have a current practising certificate. You will also have strong knowledge andIs a practising Registered Mental Health Professional in a large health service delivery organisationHigh level of knowledge, understanding and experience working with, treating and assessing personality disorders, complex PTSD and other co-morbid difficulties.Has attained sufficient work experience and clinical competence and confidence to work independently as a clinician interacting with consumers and other service providers (internal and external)Experience in evidence based therapies for treating personality disorders, complex PTSD and other co-morbid difficulties.Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
