CAD Designer II
As a CAD Designer II here at Solstice, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of mechanical systems and components. Your expertise in CAD software will be essential in creating detailed and accurate designs that meet project specifications and quality standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful completion of design projects and contribute to the continuous improvement of our design processes.

Key Responsibilities
Interpret and incorporate engineers’ redlined drawings to produce accurate, up‑to‑date engineering documentation in accordance with company and industry standards.
Process drawing revisions and index update requests submitted by contracted engineering firms, ensuring timely and precise document control.
Utilize approved secure transmittal methods to distribute and manage Export‑Controlled technical data in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Perform field verification of drawings and layouts by conducting walkthroughs across various plant areas to confirm as‑built conditions.
Prepare and generate large‑format plots to support engineering team meetings and project reviews.
Maintain, manage, and update multiple drawing indexes encompassing thousands of documents stored within the Solstice “S” drive document management system.
Organize, catalog, and maintain vendor‑provided equipment documentation to support plant operations, maintenance, and engineering activities.
Assist contractors by accurately walking down drawings in the field, with particular focus on underground piping, electrical systems, and other concealed infrastructure.
Create new engineering drawings based on approved sketches and design concepts provided by engineers, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with drafting standards.
Communicate effectively with engineers, contractors, and other Solstice personnel through email, Microsoft Teams and in person discussions to coordinate revisions, clarifications, and project updates.
Demonstrate proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office applications (including Excel) to support drafting, documentation, and data management tasks.

Key Responsibilities
Create and modify detailed designs using CAD software
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure designs meet customer requirements and are manufacturable
Interpret technical specifications and translate them into accurate and precise designs
Conduct design reviews and provide feedback for continuous improvement
Support the development and implementation of design standards and best practices
YOU MUST HAVE
Proven experience as a CAD designer or similar role
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA
In-depth knowledge of engineering principles and design standards

COMPENSATION
The annual base hourly range for this position is $26 - 32 Per Hour . Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice Advanced Materials considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities or the position, the candidate's work experience education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
