Performs care, treatments, and procedures within scope of practice and established guidelines and provides a safe and therapeutic environment.QualificationsRequiredCurrent and unencumbered licensure or Interim Permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) through the Nevada State Board of NursingAmerican Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providerMust successfully complete National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within 90 days of hire or position entryMust successfully complete Non-Violent Crisis intervention within six (6) months of hire or position entryIV Competency completion within six (6) months of hireECG Rhythm Interpretation Course within 6 months of employment.PreferredOne (1) years of LPN experience in an acute care hospital.Be enrolled in LPN to RN program within 24 months of hireCross training for Avasure Tech (AT) and Monitor Tech (MT) in the Central Monitoring Unit (CMU) to be completed upon hirePrimary departments to float to:Medical/OncologySurgical/OrthopedicsSierra PostopClinical Decision Unit (CDU)Behavioral Health InpatientCentral Monitoring Unit (CMU)Additional departments expected to float to:TelemetryEmergency Dept.
