Director of Field Services & Aftermarket Revenue
OverviewWe are seeking a hands-on, entrepreneurial leader to build and scale a field services division focused on installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial pumps, dredging equipment, and heavy machinery.This role is responsible for transforming field service into a high-margin, recurring-revenue business unit while improving customer uptime and long-term equipment performance.Core Responsibilities1. Build & Scale Field Service OperationsRecruit, train, and manage a team of field technicians across multiple regionsDevelop SOPs for:Installation & commissioningPreventative maintenanceEmergency repairsEstablish service hubs (San Diego, Houston, Tijuana, etc.)Implement scheduling, dispatching, and service tracking systems2. Drive Revenue Growth (Critical)Develop and sell:Service contracts (monthly/annual)Emergency response packagesEquipment inspections & auditsBuild relationships with:Mining companiesDredging contractorsMunicipal wastewater plantsIndustrial operatorsPartner with the sales team to convert the installed base into recurring revenue KPI mindset:Revenue per installed unitService contract attachment rateTechnician utilization rate3. Field Execution & Technical LeadershipLead complex troubleshooting of:Slurry pumpsHydraulic systemsDiesel power unitsElectrical / PLC systemsSupport critical jobs in the field when neededCreate escalation protocols for major failures4. Customer Experience & RetentionEnsure rapid response times (same day / 24-48 hours)Build long-term customer relationshipsTurn service calls into upsell opportunitiesReduce downtime for clients → become mission-critical partner5.
