Travel Respiratory Therapist - NICU RT
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (NICU/Peds) with at least 2 years of respiratory therapy experience for a 12-hour night shift travel contract at a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and teaching hospital.Job Details• Position is based in a pediatric respiratory care unit within a 247-licensed-bed Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and teaching hospital,• Primary patient population is neonatal through pediatric; adults may be encountered when floating is required,• Respiratory care responsibilities extend to all patients throughout the facility,• Floating within the facility may be required, including to ED, PICU, Peds CVICU, Peds PCU, and general med floors; no floating to outside facilities,• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week,• Every other weekend rotation required,• Holiday coverage required 75% of the time,• No on-call or call-back requirements,• EMR: Epic,Job Requirements• RRT or CRT credential required,• Active NC Respiratory Therapy license required (license required if applicable),• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required,• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience in a resource team capacity,• Minimum 12 months of core work experience in unit specialty area, with most recent experience within the last year,• Experience with IPPV/NIPPV ventilators required,• Experience in ED, PICU, Peds CVICU, Peds PCU, or general med floors required,• Epic EMR experience,• Candidate's permanent address must be located at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted,• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration,• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN,Additional Information• Provide respiratory care services across all patient populations, with primary focus on neonatal and pediatric patients,• Supported by respiratory therapy leadership within the department,• Orientation includes facility-level NEO onboarding plus 2 days of departmental orientation,• A clinical interview with the hiring manager is required,• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,• Candidates who have worked a permanent position at an AHSE facility must have been separated from that facility for at least 1 year before being eligible,• Royal blue scrubs required,• Free parking is available on-site
