Copa Health is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable (A/P) Specialist to support the Finance team in managing the organization's financial obligations. This is a full-time, onsite position based at our Administration Office in Mesa, AZ.
What you'll do:
Process high-volume invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Review invoices for appropriate documentation, coding, and approvals prior to payment
Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation
Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive working relationships
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Assist with month-end closing processes related to accounts payable
Support audits by providing required documentation and reports
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper coding and approvals
We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates accountability, strong communication skills, and a commitment to accuracy while supporting both internal teams and external partners.
Qualifications & requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable or related accounting experience
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office tools
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
Associate's degree in Accounting or related field
Experience in healthcare or non-profit organizations
Familiarity with ERP or electronic invoice processing systems
Basic understanding of GAAP principles
