Construction Manager – Federal Project (HVAC / Mechanical)📍 Albuquerque, NM (Local candidates only)📅 12-Month Contract (Potential Extension)🚫 Travel to Santa Fe as neededAbout the RoleWe’re seeking an experienced Construction Manager to support a federal brownfield project involving upgrades and modernization of existing facilities. This role focuses on commercial HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems, including chillers, boilers, and ventilation systems.This is a field-based role requiring strong leadership, coordination, and hands-on oversight of construction activities.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise on-site construction activities, including discipline superintendents and field teamsEnsure compliance with safety programs, including PTAs and TSOsOversee project execution to meet schedule, budget, and quality requirementsCoordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teamsManage subcontractor performance, progress tracking, and reportingReview and approve subcontractor work, invoices, and progress paymentsInterpret drawings and provide technical guidance on construction methodsMaintain detailed daily/weekly/monthly progress reportsMonitor look-ahead schedules and proactively address risksEnsure compliance with Quality Management Systems and project proceduresSupport startup and commissioning activities and project closeoutInterface with clients, municipal authorities, and other stakeholdersRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED11+ years of construction management or craft supervision experience on similar projectsStrong knowledge across multiple construction disciplinesExperience with commercial HVAC systems (chillers, boilers, ventilation, piping, plumbing)Proven leadership and field supervision experienceStrong communication and coordination skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteValid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirementsPreferred ExperienceExperience on federal or government projectsBackground in brownfield / existing facility upgradesFamiliarity with GFS systems and mechanical infrastructure overlapsWork RequirementsMust be local to Albuquerque, NM or Santa Fe, NMWillingness to travel locally between job sitesAbility to work in a field-based construction environmentWhy Join?Long-term contract with strong extension potentialOpportunity to work on a high-impact federal infrastructure projectHands-on leadership role in complex mechanical systems upgradesIf interested or know someone who is, please apply here or reach out to me directly!
