Overnight Kitchen Manager (10:00pm-8:00am)Massapequa, NYOur store located in Massapequa is seeking a FT Kitchen Manager (overnight hours of 10pm-6:30am) for its very busy kitchen operations! This newly crafted position as Overnight Kitchen Manager will supervise kitchen duties by managing the pantry, inventory, controlling how food is stored and prepared. This individual will supervise a team of Overnight Kitchen Clerks and Grab and Go Clerks.Salary for this position is $95,000 annually plus an incentive bonus which pays up to 15% of annual salary. This position also comes with a robust benefits package!ResponsibilitiesEnsuring that all food items and products are stored, prepared and served based on the restaurant's recipe, preparation and portion standardsEvaluating and disciplining kitchen personnel accordingly and making employment and termination decisionsOrdering kitchen materials and ingredients based on the menu and market demandSupervising food preparation in the kitchen and ensuring that customers are satisfiedMaintaining clean working environments and making sure that employees follow the restaurant's preventive maintenance measuresMaintaining adequate inventory levels and conducting weekly inventoriesWorking with various department managers to create menu items, pricing and establishing portion sizes of each mealScheduling shifts by business hours, days, and occasionsOverseeing the training of employees to ensure the safe operation of kitchen equipment and utensils and the proper handling of heavy items and hazardous materials.Other duties and functions as assignedFood SafetyOversee the quality food, oversee inventory, supply, and QA processes in the restaurant.Ensure that food safety and security standards are met and adhered to consistently by team membersStore food products in compliance with safety practices (e.g., in refrigerators, storage room, etc.)Manage and maintain food safety standards at all timesRequirementsHS Diploma or equivalent; a Culinary Degree/training is preferable5-7 years of experience managing a kitchen in a fast paced kitchenAbility to work a varying schedule including nights/weekends/holidaysMust be self motivated with the ability to motivate and lead a teamMust be able to speak, read and understand the English languageExcellent verbal, written, and communication skillsFood Safety CertificationWe offer an excellent salary and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(K) 50% lunch discount, 25% shopping discount and much more!Working ConditionsMost of the time is spent moving about continuously on hard surfaces.
