Project Manager - HVDC

Overview Seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead high-voltage direct current (HVDC) and power delivery projects. This role is based in the Richmond, VA area and requires frequent in-office collaboration with engineering and project teams.HVDC is rapidly expanding across the U.S., with major applications in ERCOT, the Southwest, Pacific Northwest, and offshore wind. This is a strong opportunity for someone looking to step into a growing segment of the grid modernization space.What You’ll DoLead and manage HVDC, substation, and transmission projects from planning through executionCoordinate across engineering, design, and construction teamsInterpret scopes of work, schedules, and technical requirementsProvide timely project updates and manage multiple active projects simultaneouslyInterface with internal stakeholders, clients, and field teamsSupport project planning, budgeting, and scheduling effortsAttend meetings at substations and project sites as neededWhat You Bring8–16 years of experience in the power industryMinimum 2+ years of project management experienceBackground in substation and/or transmission design and constructionExposure to HVDC projects strongly preferredStrong understanding of project scopes, scheduling, and executionProficiency with Excel, Word, and scheduling tools (MS Project or similar)Solid communication and stakeholder management skillsWorking knowledge of project financials and business operationsRequirementsMust be based in or near Richmond, VAWillingness to visit substations and right-of-way sitesU.S. Citizenship requiredWhy This RoleWork on cutting-edge HVDC projects in a high-growth marketStrong compensation with upside based on experienceHigh-visibility role with direct impact on major grid infrastructure projects
