Contract AP Computer Science Teacher

UWorld is seeking a Contract AP Computer Science Teacher to contribute to the creation of our new web-based AP Computer Science product lines. This individual will use their AP course expertise and teaching knowledge to help create exceptional curriculum materials. This is an independent consulting role and a great opportunity to get involved with developing a brand-new product that will focus on preparing students and educators for success with rigorous AP curriculum.Responsibilities:Reports to the Director of College ReadinessNew content production:Write AP Computer Science content including class activities, practice questions, slideshow presentations, lecture notes, and moreRevise and provide constructive feedback on content written by other authorsGenerate classroom activities that reflect existing AP blueprint standardsValidate accuracy and relevance of content generated with other team membersWork with other content experts to identify topics for new product developmentAssist other content team members during peak periods of new content production to ensure that all deadlines are metQUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Education Required:Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferredUndergraduate/Graduate GPA of 3.6 or higherMinimum Experience Required:5+ years of experience teaching AP Computer Science Principles is required Strong knowledge of the AP CED is requiredAP Reader, AP Table Leader, and AP Consultant experience highly preferredRequired Skills:Passion for education and learningStrong writing skillsEffective problem-solving skills and acute attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to think strategically and analytically and execute conceptual ideas into a finished productProven history of working independently while operating within a team environmentAbility to provide, receive, and respond to feedback positivelySolid organizational, prioritization, and self-motivation skills to successfully meet deadlinesProficient in MS Office/working knowledge of ITProven ability to write high-quality passages, questions, and explanationsCompensation & Perks:$35 per hour Work from homeSet your own schedule
