Fund Controller - Real Estate

We areseeking an experiencedFund Controllerto join a growing real estate investment firm. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting leader who will own fund reporting, support investors, and partner closely with leadership on portfolio performance.Key DetailsPay Range:$140,000 - $170,000 baseBonus:Includes annual bonus up to 20%Benefits:Includes health, dental, vision, 401k, and other full-time employee benefitsWork Arrangement: Hybrid (4 days on-site, 1 day remote per week)ResponsibilitiesOversee fund accounting, reporting, and close processesPrepare and review quarterly and annual financial statementsManage investor reporting, capital account statements, and performance reportingOversee capital calls, distributions, and waterfall calculationsCoordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and third-party partnersReview journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedulesPartner with acquisitions and asset management on transactions and portfolio activitySupport audits, tax reporting, and process improvementsMentor junior accounting staff as neededRequired QualificationsMust have 7+ years of accounting experience in real estate investment, private equity real estate, or REIT environmentsStrong grasp of fund and multi-entity accountingExperience managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closeAbility to prepare and review fund financial statementsMust have aBachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldPreferred QualificationsCPAExperience with fund audits and external auditorsBackground supporting complex real estate portfoliosPrior process improvement or team leadership experience There are no costs for candidates utilizing our services as our clients pay for all related hiring fees.
