Murex Support EngineerLocation - Remote, USARole Summary:We are looking for a Murex Support Engineer to assist in the day-to-day support, troubleshooting, and environment operations of a large-scale Murex MX.3 platform. This role is ideal for candidates with around 3 years of hands-on Murex experience who want to build deeper technical expertise while supporting production stability and automation initiatives. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers and architects.Key Responsibilities:Support day-to-day operations of production and UAT Murex environmentsMonitor systems, run health checks, and investigate technical issuesAssist in log analysis, root cause identification, and escalation to L1/L2/L3 teamsHelp manage environments: clone, refresh, and decommission as neededDevelop and maintain basic scripts (Shell, Python, Perl) to automate tasksContribute to:Datamart and MxML report supportBatch job monitoring and trade workflow issue trackingEnd-of-day and interface process monitoringModel deployment and system updatesWork with functional teams to understand issues tied to settlement, reporting, and riskRequired Skills:3+ years of Murex MX.3 experience in a technical or support capacityFamiliarity with Unix/Linux systems and command-line operationsExposure to scripting languages: Shell, Python, or PerlSome hands-on experience with Datamart, batch jobs, trade workflows, or environment tasksAbility to read and understand logs, and assist in troubleshooting system issuesInterest in developing skills around environment management and automationFunctional Awareness:Basic understanding of the Murex trade lifecycle, including booking and processingExposure to collateral, settlement, or reporting flows is a plusWillingness to work with functional teams to resolve production-related issuesSoft Skills:Curious and eager to learn from senior team membersGood communication and documentation skillsDetail-oriented, reliable, and capable of handling support responsibilities in a production settingProactive mindset with the ability to follow through on assigned tasksPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical fieldFamiliarity with Murex domains such as:S4C – Reporting and batch processingClient – Workflow and event processingCEM – Environment and infrastructure setupExperience with DevOps tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins) or cloud environments (AWS, Azure) is a plus
