Overall Job SummaryThe Senior Digital Merchant is a strategic leader responsible for driving the financial performance and digital customer experience of Tractor Supply Company’s Animal Feed and Pet Food categories—core to the business. This role owns end-to-end digital merchandising strategy, including sales, margin, inventory productivity, and omnichannel execution, while translating category strategies into compelling online experiences that drive growth and customer loyalty. Leveraging deep omnichannel or pureplay retail expertise, the Senior Digital Merchant partners cross-functionally across merchandising, planning, marketing, and supply chain to expand assortment, optimize discoverability, and elevate how consumable categories are presented and shopped online.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)Own full P&L accountability for Animal Feed and Pet Food categories, including sales, gross margin, inventory productivity, and digital penetration. Develop and execute a multi-year digital merchandising strategy that drives category growth, expands assortment and enhances the customer experience. Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Planning, Supply Chain, and Marketing teams to align and execute omnichannel strategies, promotions, and seasonal initiatives. Lead digital customer experience improvements through optimized site merchandising, taxonomy, product content, and educational resources that drive conversion and loyalty. Leverage data, analytics, and customer insights to inform assortment decisions, pricing, promotions, and performance optimization. Build and influence strategic vendor partnerships to drive innovation, exclusive offerings, and joint business growth. Serve as a senior leader and influencer, elevating digital merchandising capabilities and aligning stakeholders around category vision and executionRequired QualificationsExperience: 10+ years of progressive merchandising experience, with significant exposure to eCommerce, omnichannel, or digital-first retail environmentsEducation: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
