You will lead the execution and continuous improvement of maintenance, readiness, and reliability strategies across highly integrated electromechanical and software-driven systems.You will play a key role in ensuring our systems perform at the highest level—supporting real-world deployments, flight operations, and large-scale data acquisition efforts that directly impact national infrastructure, environmental monitoring, and geospatial intelligence programs.We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.What You Will DoLead system sustainment and lifecycle support for advanced sensing platforms, driving maximum operational readiness and mission reliabilityDevelop and continuously improve preventative and predictive maintenance strategies for complex, mission-critical systemsSupport flight operations and field deployments, ensuring systems are properly configured, calibrated, and validated prior to executionPerform hands-on troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and integrated system architectures, driving root cause analysis and corrective actionCoordinate system integration with aircraft platforms, supporting installation, test, and calibration activitiesMaintain accurate system configurations and service records to ensure traceability, compliance, and repeatability at scaleContribute to and refine technical documentation, including maintenance procedures, troubleshooting workflows, and operational checklistsCollaborate across engineering, operations, and software teams to ensure systems meet performance, scalability, and deployment requirementsInterface with vendors and partners to support system upgrades, component reliability, and long-term sustainment strategiesWhat Sets This Role ApartDirect involvement in cutting-edge airborne sensing systems—not just maintaining hardware, but enabling mission successOpportunity to work across the full stack: hardware, software, flight ops, and data systemsHigh-impact work supporting large-scale geospatial programs and national-level initiativesA fast-moving environment where innovation, problem-solving, and ownership are expectedWhat You Will Bring Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, or related field; equivalent experience considered2–7 years of experience supporting or sustaining complex, high-reliability systems in operational or field environmentsDemonstrated ability to lead or coordinate maintenance and technical support activitiesStrong hands-on experience troubleshooting electromechanical and integrated systemsWorking knowledge of structured root cause analysis and failure diagnosticsStrong communication skills with the ability to clearly document technical issues and brief both technical and non-technical stakeholdersWillingness to support flight operations, field deployments, and test events as requiredAbility to operate independently while collaborating across multidisciplinary teamsExperience in one or more of the following areas preferred:Aerospace or airborne sensing systems (lidar, imaging, sensors)Robotics, autonomous systems, or embedded platformsHigh-performance or data-intensive systemsFamiliarity with:Preventative and predictive maintenance methodologiesConfiguration management processesSystem integration, verification, and acceptance testingComfortable working in fast-paced, test-driven, and deployment-oriented environmentsExperience coordinating with vendors and suppliers on system performance, reliability, and maintenanceBenefits You Will LoveCertified as a Great Place to Work, Woolpert is one of the fastest-growing architecture, engineering, and geospatial companies in the world.
