Microsoft Systems Admin
Position Summary: The Entra AD Administrator is responsible for maintaining, and supporting the organization's Microsoft Entra ID deployment. This includes managing Identity and access in Microsoft Entra ID and MS365 along with Device management in Intune and Mosyle. Work closely with the Systems Engineer and Identity Architect to implement solutions with other IT team members and other business stakeholders while ensuring proper access and performance is maintained.Essential Responsibilities:Work with the Identity Architect to design, configure, and support cross-system identity solutions.Work with the System Engineer to establish, enhance and maintain other Microsoft Azure / MS365 solutions such as SharePoint, virtual machines and VDI.Monitor and maintain Azure/Entra ID to ensure performance, availability, and security.Troubleshoot and resolve Identity and Access control issues.Collaborate with application, security, and network teams to support integrated systems and environments.Document system configurations, procedures, and processes.Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and industry best practices.Participate in capacity planning and systems architecture design.Participate in team or cross-functional initiatives as needed.Other duties as assigned in alignment with business needs.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).3–5+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure, or IT operations.Strong understanding of system architecture, networking, and security principles.Proficiency in scripting or automation (PowerShell, GAM, Python, etc.).Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.Strong communication and documentation abilities.Strong interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize work, problem solve, and communicate effectively.Ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.Ability to focus on detailed information, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines under pressure.Read and interpret data on a computer screen and on standard printed documents.Experience with Windows Server/ Windows AD.Preferred QualificationsCertifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, MS O365 Administrator.Familiarity with ITIL practices or enterprise IT service management (ITSM) platforms.Ability to work independently and efficiently, with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Hands-on experience with Windows and/or Linux servers, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).Work Environment & Physical RequirementsThis role is classified as hybrid, with work being conducted at the Auburn Hills office periodically to fulfill job responsibilities.
