As part of Troon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.Position SummaryThe Cook III position is responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality food for members and guests of the club. This role supports daily kitchen operations by maintaining food quality standards, ensuring cleanliness and organization, and working collaboratively with the culinary team in a fast-paced private club environment.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook menu items according to club recipes, specifications, and presentation standardsAssist with banquet, tournament, and a la carte food productionMaintain proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures in compliance with health department regulationsProperly store, label, and rotate food products to maintain freshness and qualitySet up and stock kitchen stations with necessary supplies and ingredientsAssist with prep work including chopping, portioning, marinating, and organizing ingredientsMaintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, workstations, coolers, and storage areasSupport senior culinary staff during high-volume service periodsAssist with receiving and organizing deliveriesCommunicate effectively with chefs, kitchen staff, and front-of-house team membersFollow all club policies and procedures regarding safety, appearance, and professionalismQualificationsPrevious kitchen or food service experience preferredExperience in a private club, restaurant, resort, or hospitality environment is a plusBasic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipmentUnderstanding of food safety and sanitation practicesAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentStrong teamwork and communication skillsFlexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and special eventsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift and carry up to 50 poundsAbility to work in hot, humid, and fast-paced kitchen conditionsFrequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements requiredWork Environment This position operates in a professional private club kitchen environment focused on delivering exceptional culinary experiences and member service.
