Our nursing staff demonstrates their knowledge, critical thinking, and judgment. Services provided by the RN include supervising care delivered, coordinating plans of care, and providing education for patients/families. The Telemetry-Stepdown unit is a 21-bed (15 Telemetry/6 Stepdown) unit specializing in the care of the Telemetry and Stepdown patient. This unit is located on the third floor of the North Tower of Deaconess Henderson Hospital. This unit cares for complex medical surgical patients, cardiac patients, stroke patients, sepsis and other diagnoses including patients requiring closer monitoring. Our patient population offers a great variety of learning opportunities related to cardiac rhythms and EKG's, medication drips requiring titration, and NIH stroke scale.
