National Account Manager

This role will propose and execute store sales strategies, products, and programs, and coordinate field operations for resets to achieve maximum sales volume and margin potential at The Home Depot.Major Responsibilities / ActivitiesIdentify growth opportunities through effective product placement and assortment optimizationBuild and maintain strong relationships with key Home Depot stakeholders at all levelsAnalyze monthly compliance reports and sales data to uncover trends and opportunitiesPartner with data analysts to evaluate performance and inform strategyManage customer reporting, including fill rates, retail reviews, assortment reviews, and pricing analysesExecute product assortment and planogram (POG) changes internally and through customer systemsLead PLRs and develop strategies to retain and grow businessConduct store PK visits, store walks, trade shows, and perform other duties as assignedDevelop and deliver sales presentations highlighting performance, insights, and opportunitiesManage pricing updates and ensure alignment with agreed pricing strategiesReview and provide SKU-level forecasts across the full assortmentOptimize product mix by addressing underperforming items and expanding high-performing SKUsCollaborate with supply chain and transportation teams to resolve account-specific issuesReview marketing materials for alignment with sales objectivesManage and develop one direct reportRequired Qualifications And ExperienceSelf-motivated with the ability to work independentlyStrong drive to grow business and deliver resultsPrior management experience, including direct reportsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word) and Adobe AcrobatStrong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategiesHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsEffective interpersonal skills; able to work across all levels internally and externallyMinimum of 5 years’ experience as a National Account Manager in the home improvement industryDemonstrated integrity, professionalism, and conflict resolution skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong leadership and decision-making capabilitiesWillingness to travel up to 25%Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a business-related field5+ years’ experience in retail sales, preferably with The Home Depot accountsFollowing receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
