This will be a hands-on position, taking ownership of ongoing SEC reporting processes and upcoming filings. This role is a high impact position, and you will have the opportunity to drive process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk. This is a great opportunity to join a company and team that values contributing to something meaningful in the bioscience space.Their ideal candidate is someone coming straight out of a Public Accounting Firm, or someone with Public Company financial reporting experience.Perks:Career growth opportunitiesMeaningful Company/MissionHigh impact positionResponsibilities:Lead the preparation of 10-K and 10-Q filings with limited directionDrive the full reporting cycle, encompassing financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and disclosure checklistsManage and optimize the SEC reporting platform and related systems, including document preparation and tie-out proceduresAct as the primary point of contact for external auditors throughout quarterly reviews and the annual auditEnsure financial statements, disclosures, and tie-outs are thorough and preciseCollaborate cross-functionally with finance, legal, and other stakeholders to gather and validate reporting inputsOwn stock-based compensation accounting and equity administration, covering grants, valuations, and related disclosuresDevelop and strengthen SOX controls over financial reporting processesEvaluate and close gaps in existing reporting workflowsMonitor, research, and implement emerging accounting standards and updated disclosure requirementsPrepare additional required filings, including Forms 8-K and the Proxy Statement, in accordance with SEC regulations and U.S. GAAPContinuously seek opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and mitigate reporting riskRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related degreePublic Accounting experience is required (Big 4 or Mid-Tier Firms).Public Company financial reporting experience is required.CPA license is highly desired.Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams, business leaders, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and resultsEmail your word document resume to Hayley.h@conexusrecruiting.com and reference the subject as Manager of SEC Reporting
