The successful candidate will be focusing on the development, deployment, and administration of complex systems using C++ or Python, Kubernetes, and GPU technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our satellite communication systems, from development to deployment, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets user requirements.RequirementsSecurity Clearance:Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizenMinimum Qualifications:Twenty (20) years of experience as a SWE is required.Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university is requiredDesired Skills:Kubernetes cluster design, deployment, and lifecycle managementSpecifically Rancher, RKE2 implementationControl plane component configuration and troubleshootingWorker node management, configuration, and lifecycle automationWorkload management (scheduling, affinity, resources, scaling)High availability cluster configurationCluster monitoringCluster networkingCluster storage (storage classes, PVC, PC) and integration with external storage systemsKubernetes security concepts and implementation (RBAC, service accounts, secrets, certificate management, policy engines)Helm FamiliarityCKA certification is a plusKubernetes application development/deployment principlesCNCF projects/toolsDevops principlesGitOps/Builds/PipelinesNetworking experience (Switching, routing, VLANs)Advanced Linux Experience (RHEL/Rocky/EL9)Operating system configuration and troubleshootingService managementHardeningPXE boot and automated OS deploymentAnsible experiencePlaybook designRole developmentAnsible collection creation and managementDevelopment and ScriptingPython familiarityBash scripting experienceGo (desired)YAML and JSON manipulationGit workflowsKnowledge/experience with software unit testingCross-functional team collaborationStakeholder communication and requirements gatheringPresenting technical concepts to non-technical audiencesRF data processing familiarityRF application development familiarityThis position is open for direct hires only.
