As a Department Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a department within our store. If you have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a proven ability to motivate and inspire others, we want to hear from you!ResponsibilitiesManage and lead a team of employees in the department, including conducting regular team meetings and providing coaching and feedbackMonitor inventory levels and ensure that shelves are adequately stocked at all timesCreate and implement strategies to increase department sales and profitabilityEnsure that all employees adhere to company policies and proceduresAssist in hiring and on-boarding new employees, as neededDevelop and maintain strong relationships with customers to promote repeat businessConduct regular performance evaluations for department staff and provide recommendations for improvementRequirementsAt least 2 years of experience in a leadership position, preferably within the retail industryExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational and time management abilitiesProven ability to motivate and inspire a teamBasic knowledge of inventory management and merchandising techniquesAbility to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekendsHigh school diploma or equivalent, a college degree is preferred but not required
