Work schedule assignments upon hire are determined by plant needs. Once your training period begins, you will be assigned to 1st shift (6:50 am - 3:00 pm), then possibly moved to a different shift upon qualification. You will be eligible to bid on other schedules, shifts and jobs when they are posted. Mandatory overtime for a traditional work schedule could be weekly (scheduled for up to 12 hours/day, Monday through Sunday), daily (additional 4 hours on your 8-hour shift) and weekends (8 to 12-hour shifts). Mandatory overtime for a continuous operations scheduled is subject to one day in a two (2) week period.Candidate Process Qualified applicants will be required to complete a written HVAC skills assessment Post-Offer Drug Screen and Background Check required*SummaryInstall, maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, remove, balance, calibrate and adjust heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems and units throughout the plant and office facilities as well as possess electrical and HVAC theory. Qualified HVAC Specialists are eligible for a $7,500 sign-on bonus.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesInterpret and understand blueprints, P&ID's, piping schematics, electrical schematics, engineering sketches, standards & specifications, gauges, meters, graphs, charts and reference tables.Document accurate information of equipment repairs, troubleshooting steps, parts used and time spent in SAP work order system.Check equipment located external to the plant, which requires walking, climbing, bending, etc. in all weather conditions.Minimum QualificationsMust be at least 18 years of ageMust possess a High School diploma/ GEDMust be flexible to work any shiftMust be available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime, which at times may be short noticeMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Must be authorized to work in the United StatesMust possess a minimum of three years relevant experience in HVAC to include electrical, plumbing, sheet metal and industrial refrigerationMust possess working knowledge of PLC controls, pneumatic controls, and building maintenance systemsCompletion of Universal certification for refrigerant recovery and usageBasic computer skillsPreferred QualificationsSAP experience preferredFood manufacturing experience is preferredExperience with Continuous Improvement methodology is preferredGood attendance is very importantPhysical DemandsMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Regularly required to stand, reach, squat, climb steps, ladders and scaffolding, and move around machinery Working ConditionsWork will be performed inside and outsideThe use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to include but not limited to safety toe shoes, ear plugs, safety glasses/googles, hard hats, hair and beard nets, and glovesWearing company issued uniforms is a requirementAssessment RequirementsTo ensure the highest standards of maintenance proficiency, all applicants must successfully complete a maintenance-specific skills assessment.
