You will play a pivotal role in leading engineering teams and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams and managers to deliver cutting-edge projects that shape the future of our industry. Your leadership will inspire teams, foster collaboration and drive innovation, creating a culture of excellence across the organization.Duties/Responsibilities Lead a team of developers in building high-quality, scalable, and resilient distributed systemsFoster an environment of rapid learning and adaptation to new technologies, tools, and frameworksOversee the design, implementation, and management of software systemsMaintain high standards in version control using Git and ensure robust test automation practices are in placeCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration and deployment of best-in-class financial services solutionsDrive the development and maintenance of RESTful services, microservices, and service-oriented architecturesFacilitate the continuous integration and delivery pipelines for seamless deployment and scalabilityManage and mentor engineering teams, encouraging continuous improvement and professional growthTravel occasionally to meet with engineering teams and stakeholders and stay aligned with industry advancementsEducation And/or Experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent work experience) required8+ years of work experience in software development2+ years leading engineering teamsExperience in financial services or a similar heavily regulated industry is preferredProven experience in Agile Development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)Required Skills/Abilities Proficient in managing version control systems, preferably GitAdvanced knowledge of software testing and automation toolsStrong foundational understanding of software development best practicesAbility to adapt quickly to new technologies and lead teams in learning and implementing these technologiesAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detailExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically about technology-driven solutionsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersProficiency in cloud-based (GCP) backend systems and micro-service architecture to ensure scalability and reliabilitySolid understanding of DevOps principles with hands-on experience in CI/CD pipelines and deployment automationUnderstanding of security best practices for APIs, backend systems, and infrastructureFamiliarity with financial systems, trading and accounting concepts, and compliance within regulated environments to build high-quality and secure solutionsWork Environment This job operates in a hybrid, office environment 3 days per week#engineering #mid-senior #full-time #APEXOur Rewards and EEO/Disability Statements are provided below for compliance purposes and to outline our commitment to a fair and inclusive workplace.Our Rewards We offer a robust package of employee perks and benefits, including healthcare benefits (medical, dental and vision, EAP), competitive PTO, 401k match, parental leave, and HSA contribution match.
