Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner

Position: Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care Location: Trenton, New Jersey Area Schedule: 3-4 Shifts/Week - Overtime Eligible About the Opportunity A highly respected and well-established urgent care organization in Mercer County, New Jersey is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join its growing team. This is a permanent role in a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility, offering the chance to practice in a traditional urgent care setting that values clinical quality, efficiency, and work-life balance. This position is ideal for providers who are comfortable working independently while still having access to physician support. With a steady patient flow of around 40 patients per day , this role offers a dynamic environment and competitive compensation. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and manage urgent and non-emergent medical conditions across all age groups Perform urgent care procedures including suturing, splinting, wound care, and incision & drainage Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests Prescribe medications and arrange appropriate follow-up care Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care Document patient encounters accurately Collaborate with remote physician medical director and support staff to ensure optimal outcomes What We Offer Flexible scheduling - 3-4 shifts per week Overtime eligible for extra hours worked Competitive compensation based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match 2 weeks PTO Supportive, professional team environment with room for growth Part of a nationwide network of 400+ urgent care clinics Qualifications Active and unrestricted New Jersey Nurse Practitioner license National Board Certification (FNP or AGNP) Minimum 1 year of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or internal medicine Skilled in urgent care procedures (suturing, splinting, etc.) Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently Comfortable seeing patients of all ages Thank you for your time, and I look forward to connecting soon!
