The qualifications of an elder as defined in 1 Timothy 3 / Titus 1. A high-capacity leader who is also a team player Devotes time to holistic personal development and family life Graduate Ministry degree Experienced cross-cultural worker with positive overseas work experience Ability to organize programs, recruit and train leaders, and cast the Global Outreach vision to the church Motivational public speaker Anticipated Work Time: Full Time Job Summary: The Pastor of Global Outreach will oversee all COD global outreach ministries and develop a ministry-training program within the church. This person will contribute to messaging, sermons, events, and/or conferences that advance the sending vision of the Church. He will exercise executive decision-making authority over all COD global outreach ministries approved by the Lead Pastor. Description of Responsibilities: Cast the vision for COD's part in the Great Commission with a focus on sending our own people to the field - refer to the Strategic Goals (2025 - 2028) in Global Refresh One Page Design a church-wide ministry training program that will realize these outcomes: Participants are passionate about sharing the Gospel and are equipped to do so in a way that respects the needs of the hearer. Participants demonstrate their love for all people through cultural intelligence and sensitivity. Participants cultivate a communal spiritual life by walking with the Spirit. Participants can lead in multicultural and multigenerational settings. Participants can explain the biblical metanarrative and theological foundation of COD. Participants can teach biblically sound and culturally relevant messages. Participants understand how to help other people with personal problems. Participants are ready to go, whether near or far. Develop and execute a COD sending strategy. Oversee all aspects of the COD Global Outreach Ministry, including but not limited to: The Go-Team Short-term mission trips Partner care and support Conferences, all public global outreach meetings, and Church wide communication. Development and evaluation of global outreach staff metrics in conjunction with the Executive Pastor. Global Outreach Budget These duties and responsibilities are not intended to be all-inclusive but represent the core expectations for this role.
