Senior Network Engineer

Job DescriptionECS is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to work remotely.ECS is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across corporate office environments and three geographically distributed data centers. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and optimizing network systems that support mission-critical operations. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in multi-site networking, data center architecture, and enterprise-grade routing/switching, along with a proactive approach to reliability, security, and performance.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain network infrastructure across ECS corporate offices and data centersManage core networking components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancersEnsure high availability and performance of WAN/LAN connectivity between sitesSupport data center networking, including spine-leaf architecture, VLANs, VXLAN, and segmentation strategiesMonitor network performance and troubleshoot issues across multiple environmentsImplement and maintain network security controls (ACLs, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS)Collaborate with systems, cloud, and cybersecurity teams to support hybrid infrastructurePerform capacity planning, upgrades, and lifecycle management of network hardware/softwareMaintain documentation for network topology, configurations, and standard operating proceduresSupport incident response and root cause analysis for network outagesSalary Range: $120,000 - $160,000BenefitsGeneral Description of BenefitsRequired SkillsAbility to pass background checks comparable to DoD Secret5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineeringStrong expertise in routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)Experience with enterprise networking vendors (Cisco, Palo Alto, SonicWall, etc.)Hands-on experience supporting multi-site WAN environmentsKnowledge of data center networking concepts and architecturesExperience with network monitoring and troubleshooting toolsSolid understanding of network security principlesDesired SkillsAbility to multitask and effectively prioritize competing requirementsFamiliarity with SD-WAN and MPLS technologiesExperience with Network Access Controls (NPS, ForeScout)Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or hybrid connectivity)Knowledge of automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform)Relevant certifications (CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent)#ECS1ECS is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate or allow discrimination on the basis any characteristic protected by law.
