Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:/nRN - OR/n/nJob Details:/n• Work 5x8 shifts totaling 40 hours per week/n• Schedule includes 1-2 days per week and every few weekends/n• 2.5+ years of OR experience required/n• First-time travelers accepted/n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS/n• New Mexico nursing license or Compact license required/n• Scrub color: Royal blue for RNs/n• Charting system: Meditech experience required/n• 16 hours of orientation provided/n• On-call requirement: 6 shifts, must arrive within 30 minutes when called/n• Patient ratios: 5 patients during days/n• Patient age groups: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics/n• Surgery cases include: General, orthopedic, orthopedic/total joints, endoscopic/laparoscopic, GYN, ophthalmology, podiatry/n• Equipment experience required: Bovie, Harmonic Scalpel, Gyrus, Fluid management system GYN, Stryker Towers/n• Skills required: Scrub and aseptic technique/n• Skills preferred: Sterilization, case cart, crash cart, first assisting, scope/probe reprocessing/n• Smoke/nicotine free campus/n• Keep time off requests to minimum, expect to work some holidays/n• Floating may be required in rotation with client staff/n/nFacility:/nThis critical access hospital features 25 beds and provides comprehensive surgical services including general, orthopedic, gynecological, ophthalmology, and podiatry procedures. The facility maintains 7 operating rooms and handles approximately 13 visits per day.
