HTH seeks an HR Coordinator, to serve as part of the Central Management Team to support and manage onboarding for the organization. This position is in-person and on campus.

JOB SUMMARY
As a member of the Central team, the HR Coordinator will have the rewarding responsibility of onboarding new staff in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment. This role will partner with hiring managers and multiple departments to maximize the effectiveness of the hiring process, and develop and execute comprehensive and effective onboarding processes to ensure an impactful candidate/new hire experience.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
-Provide a first-class genuine candidate experience that optimizes for long-term relationships with candidates and new hires
-Ensure a consistent and exceptional onboarding experience/successful transition for assigned new hires joining the organization
-Collect all necessary documents required to complete the onboarding process, including credentials
-Verify applicable requirements and certifications including employment eligibility requirements (I9 documents), TB Tests, Transcripts, Verifications of Experience, etc.
-Act as a continued resource for all new hire employees
-Evaluate prospective certificated employees' credential licensure (e.g. transcripts, credentials, etc.) to assess eligibility and placement in coordination with Credential Operations.
-Counsel and assist employees with their health benefits selection during the onboarding process by providing a detailed overview of their options.
-Complete all new-hire paperwork with candidates interact directly with new hires at multiple points throughout the onboarding process
-Oversee the applicant tracking process, including troubleshooting and resolving applicant inquiries
-Track and manage workflow to ensure all new hires are processed accurately and timely
-Contact employees, management, hiring managers, or others to resolve discrepancies or issues
-Perform related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate would possess the following qualities:
-2 years of experience in Human Resources
-Strong computer skills including proficiency with spreadsheets
-Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills
-Ability to work under pressure
-Ability to work in a fast pace environment
-Results-driven, sense of urgency, and high standard of professionalism
-Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
-Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
-Excellent Customer Service skills
-Basic knowledge of benefit administration
-Understanding of CA labor laws as it relates to exempt and non-exempt employees and ability to update onboarding documents as rules and regulations change
-Self - Motivated
-Bilingual a plus!
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Associate Degree or High school diploma with three years of related experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for years of experience.
SALARY & BENEFITS
The salary range is $64,493 - $72,930 and is commensurate with experience. HTH offers a very competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision for full-time employees and their dependents. Great pension benefits that include CalPERS Retirement.
