Senior Java Backend Engineer (Java, AWS & AI-Driven Development)
About the RoleWe are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing engineering team and help design, build, and deploy scalable cloud-native applications for global clients.This role is ideal for an experienced Java engineer who not only excels in backend development but also actively leverages AI-powered tools and modern Generative AI technologies to improve productivity, code quality, and software delivery.You will work closely with engineers, architects, product managers, and client stakeholders to solve complex business challenges through scalable software solutions, cloud platforms, and AI-enabled development practices.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain backend services using Java 17+ and Spring BootBuild and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance RESTful APIsDesign and implement microservices and distributed systemsDevelop, deploy, and support applications running in AWS environmentsCollaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutionsWrite clean, maintainable, well-tested, and production-ready codeTroubleshoot and optimize application performance, reliability, and scalabilityContribute to engineering best practices, including testing, CI/CD, observability, and documentationLeverage AI-powered development tools to improve engineering efficiency and accelerate deliveryParticipate in the evaluation and adoption of emerging AI technologies and development workflowsRequired Qualifications8+ years of professional software engineering experienceStrong experience with Java 17+ and Spring BootExperience designing and developing REST APIsExperience building and deploying applications in AWSSolid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systemsExperience with Git and modern software development practicesExperience with Docker and containerized environmentsStrong problem-solving and debugging skillsExcellent verbal and written English communication skillsAI & Modern Engineering RequirementsDemonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, Gemini Code Assist, ChatGPT, or similar solutionsExperience incorporating AI into daily software development workflows to improve productivity, code quality, testing, documentation, or troubleshootingFamiliarity with Generative AI concepts, Large Language Models (LLMs), and modern AI-powered engineering practicesAbility to evaluate and adopt new AI tools and technologies as part of the software development lifecyclePreferred QualificationsExperience with Neo4j or other graph databasesExperience with KubernetesExperience integrating LLMs into applicationsExperience building AI-powered features, assistants, copilots, or agent-based workflowsFamiliarity with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architecturesFamiliarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol), tool/function calling, or multi-agent systemsExperience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsPrevious consulting or client-facing experienceKnowledge of cloud-native architectures and modern platform engineering practicesWhat We OfferOpportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud and AI initiativesOwnership of solutions from architecture through production deploymentExposure to modern backend, cloud, data, and AI technologiesCollaborative and innovative engineering cultureMeaningful work with direct impact on client success
