Shema Kolainu-Hear Our Voices - Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT) - QueensJob Summary:Shema Kolainu – Hear Our Voices (SKHOV) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT) to join our team of professionals in providing high-quality education to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental disabilities. As a SEIT, you will work closely with children and families to develop and implement individualized educational plans, promoting independence, productivity, and inclusion in the community.Responsibilities:Develop and implement individualized educational plans for children with ASD and related developmental disabilitiesProvide direct instruction and support to students in various settings, including schools, homes, and community-based locationsCollaborate with parents, teachers, and therapists to ensure comprehensive support for studentsConduct initial assessments, progress monitoring, and evaluations to inform educational planning and progressStay up-to-date with best practices in autism education and related therapiesParticipate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skillsRequirements:Master's degree in Special Education or related field$80 - $90 / HourPART_TIME_AND_FULL_TIME opportunities available2 years of experience, with a strong understanding of autism spectrum disorder and related developmental disabilitiesStrong communication, organization, and time management skillsAbility to work collaboratively with families, teachers, and therapistsFlexibility to work in various settings, including schools, homes, and community-based locationsWhat We Offer:A dynamic and supportive work environment with a team of dedicated professionalsPTO - 20 hours and over- 2 days PTO, 30 hours and over- 2 days PTO and 2 days holiday pay.
