Construction Project Manager
Why This Role MattersMissionHires is seeking a Construction Project Manager to support EPC/CM/Program Management projects from pre-construction through closeout and warranty. You will lead day-to-day site operations, safety, quality, schedule, cost, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, documentation, and client relations while collaborating closely with engineering and field teams. This role drives planning, risk management, procurement, and commissioning/startup, ensuring projects meet scope, budget, schedule, and performance requirements.How You'll ContributePromote, implement, and manage Safety & Health performance for project teams and subcontractorsOversee day-to-day construction activities for single or multiple projects through completion and warrantyLead project planning, scheduling, estimating, cost development, and critical objective settingDevelop and manage client relationships; interface on proposals and project mattersParticipate in internal/external risk reviews and consult with Legal as neededNegotiate prime contracts, CM contracts, subcontracts, and change ordersExecute assigned portions of the Project Execution Plan (CQA, Safety & Health, Subcontracting, Staffing, Procurement)Develop construction staffing plans; train and coordinate multi-discipline/global practice teamsPlan and oversee site layout, mobilization, and demobilizationVerify all required project permits are secured per requirementsLead downstream RFP/bid processes and develop detailed scopes for subcontractor/client-contractor workReview, approve, and communicate budgeting, cash flow, and project status reports to leadership and clientsCoordinate with engineering to align deliverables with schedule and requirementsAdminister downstream contract processes: RFIs, submittals, change management, closeout, documentation, claims mitigationOversee prime/subcontractor/client contractor invoicingCoordinate commissioning and startup with client, supplier, and internal teamsImplement and audit project documentation standards and controlsConfirm insurance, taxes/duties, licensure, and bonding compliance for project and subcontractorsConduct safety, quality, progress, and financial audits/assessmentsManage non-conformance reporting and corrective actionsLead cost reporting, scheduling, WBS setup, project setup/closeout, and field progress trackingDevelop and manage materials receiving/inventory/storage/transport processesReview field reports to verify subcontractor compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and contract documentsDirect turnover documentation, warranty administration, closeout, and record retentionSupport communication with governmental, industry, and public stakeholdersMentor and train interns, coordinators, craft supervision, and assistant PMs; provide performance feedbackManage community and building trades relationships; develop labor agreements as requiredOnboard craft/field supervision; manage staffing, craft classifications, and progression recordsControl labor burdens, benefits, and labor law compliance; uphold craft competency and training standardsEstimate, forecast, and manage craft install unit rates; manage earned value, schedule, change, and cost metricsOversee construction equipment inventory and availabilityTravel or site assignment as required; comply with company policies and standardsWhat Makes You a Great FitBachelor’s degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; 7+ years relevant construction project management experience (equivalent experience may substitute for degree)Demonstrated experience managing EPC, Construction Management, Construction, or Program Management projects from pre-construction through closeoutProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control, and project management software (preferred)Strong written/verbal communication, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detailProven ability to manage multiple projects and high work volumes in fast-paced environmentsMulti-year field experience on construction sites or program execution in aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transportation, transmission & distribution, or water (preferred)Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Valid driving record meeting company requirementsCommitment to EEO/Disabled/Veterans and safety/compliance standardsWho We Are, What We Stand ForMissionHires is the AI hiring partner of top talent teams.
