This role develops and implements maintenance strategy to improve equipment uptime, reduce operational risk, and support production objectives through preventive and predictive maintenance programs, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices, and standardized maintenance procedures.Responsibilities include leading maintenance personnel, supporting equipment reliability initiatives, conducting risk assessment activities, promoting lockout-tagout compliance, and applying PLC basics to support troubleshooting and performance improvement of production equipment across manufacturing operations.Essential FunctionsEstablish and lead the maintenance organization across Mechanical, Electrical, PLC, Robotics/Automation, and Hydraulic/Pneumatic functionsDefine organizational structure, roles, headcount, and shift coverage aligned to production ramp-up phasesBuild maintenance governance, standard work, escalation processes, and communication cadenceDevelop skills matrix, certification standards, and long-term training and succession plansLead, coach, and develop maintenance managers, engineers, and techniciansDevelop and implement preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategiesLead greenfield implementation and stabilization of CMMS / SAP PMEstablish PM job plans, equipment criticality, spare parts strategy, and documentation standardsOwn equipment lifecycle management from installation through optimization and replacementLead maintenance readiness for SOP, including staffing, PMs, spares, documentation, and trainingSupport equipment installation, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and production ramp-upEnsure stable operation of Fab Shop and Dry Trailer Assembly LinesManage maintenance KPIs including downtime, OEE, MTBF, MTTR, and costDrive root cause analysis and permanent corrective actionsEnsure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NEC, LOTO, machine safety, and company standardsPartner with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Safety, and SCMManage vendors, contractors, service agreements, and emergency supportReport maintenance performance and risks to Plant Leadership and HQOther duties as assignedMinimum Education and Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical fieldMinimum 12 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentsProven experience leading large, multi discipline maintenance organizationsStrong experience with new plant setup or major production ramp upDeep understanding of industrial equipment, automation, and maintenance systemsStrong knowledge of maintenance KPIs, reliability engineering, and continuous improvementExperience working in U.S. manufacturing environments with regulatory compliancePreferred Education and Experience RequirementsExperience in high volume automotive, trailer, or heavy manufacturingExperience managing maintenance teams of 50+ personnelLanguage RequirementNoneTravel RequirementsUP to 10%The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Hyundai Translead is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled.
