Retail Sales Associate
Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, assisting with product sales, and maintaining an organized and inviting store environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, retail experience, and a passion for helping customers find the products they need. Bilingual abilities and previous supervisory experience are a plus. Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services
Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, including cashiering and cash handling
Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and stocking shelves regularly
Manage inventory levels through stock replenishment and inventory checks
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
Follow phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors
Assist in supervising team members when applicable, including overseeing daily store operations and training new staff
Qualifications
Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially similar environments
Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math calculations
Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customers effectively
Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos is advantageous
Basic math skills necessary for cash handling and retail transactions
Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
Supervising experience is a plus but not required; leadership qualities are valued
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Knowledge of phone etiquette and upselling techniques to enhance customer interactions
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.50 - $15.00 per hour
