Superintendent PositionSouthwind Construction, a subsidiary of Quivera Enterprises, LLC, is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project close-out.The Superintendent is responsible for coordinating field operations, including labor, equipment, subcontractors, and site logistics, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines.Anticipated hire timeframe: Mid-May to June 2026Key ResponsibilitiesField Operations & ExecutionLead and manage daily field operations, ensuring efficient coordination of labor, equipment, and subcontractorsPlan and execute project mobilization, including site layout and temporary facilitiesOversee all construction activities to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and schedulesCommunicate project plans, sequencing, and expectations to subcontractors and suppliersScheduling & PlanningDevelop and maintain short-term schedules (e.g., 30-day look-ahead schedules)Support overall project schedule in coordination with Project ManagerMonitor progress and adjust activities to maintain schedule commitmentsSafety & ComplianceEnforce safety standards in accordance with OSHA and EM385-1-1 requirementsConduct toolbox talks and lead site safety meetingsEnsure proper site security and adherence to safety protocolsMaintain compliance with environmental and regulatory requirementsQuality ControlEnsure all work meets contract requirements, specifications, and quality standardsCoordinate inspections, testing, and acceptance processesIdentify deficiencies and implement corrective actionsProject Controls & DocumentationMaintain accurate and timely project documentation, including: Daily reportsSafety logsInspection recordsAs-built drawingsTrack field productivity and support reporting requirementsCost & Resource ManagementSupport cost control efforts through efficient use of labor, materials, and equipmentMonitor resource utilization and identify opportunities for efficiencyClose-OutCoordinate project close-out activities, including: Punch list completionFinal inspectionsTurnover documentationRequired QualificationsU.S. Citizenship requiredMust have the ability to obtain and maintain required federal suitability or background clearanceProven experience managing construction projects from mobilization through close-outStrong ability to communicate project plans and sequencing to subcontractors and suppliersDemonstrated leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in dynamic construction environments and manage multiple prioritiesPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting federal construction projects (e.g., U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, DOE, DoD)Experience with job site layout and surveying, including use of survey instrumentsStrong understanding of construction sequencing and field coordinationEducation RequirementsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Architecture, Engineering, or related field ORMinimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in lieu of degreeCertificationsRequired within the first year of employment:Bloodborne Pathogen TrainingFirst Aid / CPR CertificationScaffolding Safety Training (Competent Person)Aerial Work Platform Safety Training (Competent Person)OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and HealthOSHA 8-Hour HAZWOPERANSI/ASSE Z359 Fall Protection (Competent Person)OSHA Confined Space Entry Training (Construction)40-Hour EM 385-1-1 Hazard Recognition CourseHazard Communication TrainingLevel 1 Anti-Terrorism TrainingPhysical Demands Construction / Field RoleThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee, with or without reasonable accommodation.This position is primarily performed in active construction environments and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions. The employee is required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).Frequent walking, standing, climbing, and work on uneven terrain are required, including use of ladders and scaffolding.
